About me

Before becoming a qualified counseller, I have worked with adullts and children of all ages, teaching gymnastics, trampolining and rebound therapy; at my own gymnastics centre.
I have worked with clients with both physical and mental disabilities and have taken part in and supported many mental health projects, including working with children who have been excluded from main stream school. My previous experience is what has inspired me to pursue a career in counselling . Please see 'My Qualifications' for details of my training.

My Aproach

My key model is drawn from a humanistic theory believing that every person has the ability to take responsibility for themselves, to change and to grow towards their own potential. I provide a healthy and non judgmental safe space where you can explore your experiences and feelings. I also draw on a variety of other models and approaches such as CBT and psyhcodynamic theory.

I treat each client individually and my values are drawn from the NCP framework. This includes working with honesty, integrity and courage. Confidentiality is key to our work and through the therapeutic process I will endeavour to help you access painful emotions and feelings that have been burried deep inside; helping you choose a healthy way forward which is right for you.
